50 Back to School Prayers

I am currently writing this after attending my 5 year old son’s kindergarten orientation. As a mother, with that brings many fears and worries which only comes natural. However, I want to combat those fears and worries with prayer. My favorite verse is out of Philippians 4:6-7.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I often find myself quoting this verse in times of trouble, fear, or worry. It reminds us to pray about everything no matter how big or small and that God will give us his peace that passes all understanding and keep us in him.

With that being said, I want to give you 50 back to school prayers that have been on my heart.

There is so much more to be said on praying for our children and all those attending school.

Later on in Philippians 4:8, the Bible tells us…

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

The Bible says THINK ON THESE THINGS! If we are constantly thinking about COVID, whether or not they will wear masks or not, or go virtual or not, or require a vaccine then we will constantly be filled with those anxieties, fears, worries, and concerns. Trust me, I know we all have them, me included!

But if we can turn our specific worries and concerns into prayers, then I know we will all have a better school year!

Let us try thinking on those things that the Bible talks about and less about the world, spending more time in prayer, and the peace of God will keep us all in Christ Jesus.
